3 tips to restore your nail’s health

With social distancing measures in effect, I haven’t gotten my nails done in about two months. Although I do miss the added length and exciting new colors, there’s something refreshing about having my nails clean and bare. Allowing my nails to breathe and grow is a small goat I’ve set during this time. This is especially difficult for me as I have to confess, I do bite my nails when I’m anxious or nervous. Check out some of the ways that I’ve been giving my nails the tender, love, and care they deserve.

Chanel La Creme Main

Never have I found a hand cream more satisfying than the Chanel La Creme Main. The instant smooth texture it leaves over my hands and nails makes me feel spoiled. Not to top it off but the scent is so soft it’s an instant refresher. Iris Pallida protects the skin barrier and helps minimize the appearance of dark spots.

Smith and Cult Above It All

A good top coat can go a long way. If you need a bit of shine during this time, go for clean topcoats. Smith and Cult is a vegan, 8-free formula, meaning the formula is made without Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, & Triphenyl Phosphate  – yeah, I can’t pronounce those either.

Nurture your nails with a non-harmful polish that gives you the look you want without compromising your nails health.

CND Essentials RescueRXX Care Pen

I could tell you how I sit in my apartment pushing back my cuticles and scrub my hands with an expensive sugar exfoliator but the truth is I don’t. I prefer to keep my routine low maintenance, even though I currently have all the time in the world to focus on a meticulous nail care routine, I find the simpler the better.

The CND ResueRXX Care Pen is a quick effective way to help restore moisture in your cuticles. With a blend of Keratine and Jojoba Oil, my nails feel pampered and prepped. The slim pen-like design allows for an easy mess-free application.

Going all-natural and giving your nails the time to refresh is sometimes all you need. If your nails feel thin and chipped trying using some of the recommendations above. Constant use of gel, acrylic, and nail polish remover can overtime cause the nail bed to weaken. Creating a simple routine with my nails has somehow helped normalize the circumstance that we are currently going through. Have you picked up a routine or found a pick-me-up during this time?
